Recent Demonstrations
Verdi
Armory recently
conducted a Demonstration for the United States Marine Corps
Recruiting Offices in Reno and Carson City. Click on the Shield

This demonstration
consisted of three seperate stages:
1. Live
Fire Demonstration - Each poole (recruit that has signed
up with the Corps) and potential recruit was able to fire
10 different weapons, ranging from a DMR (Designated Marksman
Rifle) to a M60 beltfed machine gun. There were also live fire
weapons that were demonstrated only, including an M249 saw,
and a M134 Minigun.
2. Static
Display - Static (non firing display) of various weapons
that the Marines may encounter overseas (both US and foreign
weapons). This include weapons ranging from AK-47s to Barrett
M82s (.50 BMG). Approximately 30 weapons in all.
3. MCMAP
demonstration - A Marine Corps Martial Arts Program demonstration
was conducted by on of the Gunnery Sergeants (a black belt
instructor) as one of the stages in an area provided by Verdi
Armory.
There
were 50 pooles, 20 potential recruits, and 12 active duty
Marines
that cycled
through all three stages.
