Gunsmithing in Verdi

Todd Fransen is the Gunsmith at Verdi Armory, and has been practicing the trade for many years.

We have the capability to pull parts from our vast inventory (amassed from 20+ years of scouring gun shows, and having booths at the shows in AZ, CA, UT, NV, OR, WA and occasionaly the eastern US).

In the event that we do not have the part on hand, if it is available in the industry, we can usually source it, and have it in hand in a reasonable time.

It the firearm is obsolete, and parts are no longer available, we can manufacture the part. It should be noted, that this is an expensive avenue to follow, and will be billed at actual cost to manufacture the parts.

Recent Work

Some examples of the recent work that we have had come through the shop are as follows:

Manufacture and assembly of Colt 1911 Pistols and M4 and M16 Machineguns.

Repair of Custom Model 70, 300 H&H for failure to fire reliably.

Reassembly of a Jennings Pistol from all the piece parts

Machinegun repair - M60, AK-47, M16, M4

Threading of Barrels for Suppressors(silencers) and flash arrestors.
